ESL Classes

"Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone." (Ephesians 2:19-20)

Why ESL?

In Matthew 22, Jesus is asked "What is the Greatest Commandment?" He answers:

"'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’" (Matt. 22:37-39)

At Lakeshore Church, we believe that loving our neighbor requires us to serve and love in a multitude of ways. New Orleans is a city made of many nations and cultures. One way we believe we serve God is by providing English classes for those new to our country and language.

Lakeshore Church's ESL classes will be launched June 25. Stay tuned for class times and dates!

Training and Development

In partnership with NOBA and LBC, Lakeshore Church is hosting an ESL Training Class Friday, April 6 to Saturday, April 7. Get involved in the mission of Christ by learning to teach English to immigrants from all around the world. You don't need to be a teacher, and you don't need to know another language to be a part of ESL Ministry!
